Hi, I have an old iMac mid 2007 running Leopard 10.5.8 and I upgraded the RAM to 4GB from 1GB.

I tried to install a new copy (clean install from USB booting) but can't do that.

I've done the following steps:

  1. I created an USB bootable El Capitan installer
  2. I booted from USB
  3. I erased all the HDD content and I created a new partition
  4. tried to Install but I got this error: 'OS X could not be installed on your computer. No packages were eligible for install.'

I don't know what can I do at this point.

Thank you for all your help!
